Inkwrite content policy

Last updated: 5 July 2026

Inkwrite is built for adult novelists writing fiction with care and control. This policy explains what the unbound prose lane can support, and where the line is drawn before generation.

What is allowed

Adult fiction involving adult characters is allowed in the unbound prose lane when the project setting is explicitly enabled. This means mature themes handled seriously: violence, profanity, horror, crime, and difficult emotional material. Inkwrite does not generate content whose purpose is sexual gratification.

Hard lines

Inkwrite does not process sexual content involving minors, sexual content depicting real identifiable people, or content that encourages real-world self-harm.

Enforcement

The unbound lane runs a server-side classifier before generation. If the moderation endpoint is not configured, unbound mode stays unavailable. If a request crosses a hard line or the classifier cannot return a reliable result, the request is not processed.

Age attestation

Writers must confirm they are 18+ and want mature-content generation enabled for the project before selecting the unbound lane.
